Welcome to the blog. This first post marks the publishing of JayMing.xyz, and doubles as a demo for how posts work here.

How I built this site

No CMS, no database, no nonsense. Every post is its own hand-written HTML page, sitting in a folder:

jayming.xyz/
├── blog.html
└── blog/
    └── hello-world.html ← you are here

Why I chose this design

  • I hate how limited CMS tools are.
  • I can do whatever I want this way.
  • It's actually really easy to copy paste a HTML file...

If it's easy, it must be a good option.
